The Beauty And Strength Of Being Loved

Love is messy. Love is beautiful. Love teaches us, shapes us, and sometimes challenges us in ways we don’t expect. Adele’s song “To Be Loved” captures this so perfectly, how giving and receiving love can be both joyful and raw.
What I’ve been learning is that to be loved fully, we have to allow ourselves to be vulnerable. We have to show up authentically, even when it’s uncomfortable or uncertain. That vulnerability is not weakness, it’s strength. It’s proof that our hearts are capable of depth, care, and connection.
Sometimes, loving deeply comes with lessons we don’t anticipate. We learn about patience, empathy, and the importance of boundaries. We also discover the value of self-love, the kind that holds us steady when the world doesn’t always reflect back the love we give.
Being loved is a gift, but loving ourselves is a choice we make every day. When we treat ourselves with the same care, kindness, and devotion we hope to receive from others, we cultivate resilience and joy from within.
Love isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it. And in the process, we learn that our capacity to love, both others and ourselves, is one of the greatest strengths we have.
