Hi there! I’m Damalia, a wife, mom, nurse leader, and the heart behind WinterGreyBleus.
Welcome to a space where everyday life is simplified, styled, and made a little softer. I share realistic ways to stay organized, create a calm home, and prioritize yourself in the middle of a busy life.
My journey didn't start with a perfectly planned vision, it started with trying to keep up with everything.
I have learned that the little things matter more than we think, the routines we build, the spaces we create, and the way that we show up for ourselves each day. For me, that looks like finding simple ways to stay organized, creating a home that feels calm
instead of chaotic, and giving myself permission to slow down when life feels overwhelming. This space is where I share what’s working what I’m still figuring out, and the small shifts that have made a big difference along the way.
Why I Started WinterGreyBleus
Years ago, after experiencing postpartum depression following the birth of my first daughter, I started a blog called LoveYouMomma.com. It became a space where I shared my journey the highs, the lows, and how I slowly found my way to the other side of post partum depression and anxiety. It was one of the scariest seasons of my life. There were days I truly didn’t know if I was coming or going. Postpartum depression felt heavy, isolating, and debilitating. I didn’t know if I wanted to have another child because of how deeply it affected me. But eventually, I did have another daughter. I was more prepared this time around, although I still experienced postpartum depression and anxiety. Thankfully, it wasn’t as intense. Through it all, writing became an outlet for me, a safe place to process my emotions, my motherhood journey, and the version of myself I was becoming. I continued blogging until my youngest turned four.
Over the past year, life has brought both beautiful moments and difficult ones. Somewhere in between the good and bad days, I began journaling again. What started as scattered thoughts slowly turned into something more meaningful something that began to feel like my third baby. And that’s how WinterGreyBleus was born.
The name itself holds pieces of my heart: Winter is my youngest daughter’s middle name. Grey is my firstborn’s middle name. Bleus is my own play on the word blues, representing the emotions, seasons, healing, and softness woven throughout this space. This blog is more than a website to me. It’s become a little love language a place for honesty, reflection, motherhood, growth, mental health, healing, and learning how to begin again. If you’re here, I hope you find comfort in knowing you’re not alone.
