Hold On

Some nights, I have laid in bed and felt the weight of everything pressing down on me. My mind raced with every “what if,” every mistake, every moment I wished I could take back. Anxiety sat beside me like an unwelcome guest, whispering doubts I hadn’t even known I carried.I remember earlier this year, I wanted to give up. I wanted to throw my hands in the air and tell the world, I couldn’t do this. But then I heard Adele’s “Hold On” again, and something in her voice stopped me. She didn’t pretend everything was okay. She admitted she was a mess, she struggled, she doubted, but she still believed there was hope.

So I took a deep breath. I reminded myself: holding on didn’t mean I had to be perfect. Holding on meant showing up for myself, even in the smallest ways. Making a cup of tea, texting a friend, going for a walk, those little acts were victories. They mattered. That day, I let myself feel the anxiety without fighting it. I cried, I journaled, I sat with my feelings instead of running from them. And somehow, that made the world a little lighter. Holding on wasn’t about ignoring the pain, it was about acknowledging it, surviving it, and trusting that better days would come. If you’re reading this and once felt like you couldn’t take another step, I want you to hear this from me: it was okay to feel broken. It was okay to struggle. But please, don’t give up. Hold on, just hold on. The storm passed. You were stronger than you thought, and your heart was capable of healing.
